World Racing’s CB750 Racing Type
Debuts at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days West

Sears Point Raceway, Sonoma, CA
April 17-18, 1999

The day was gloriously sunny, clear and in the mid 70’s. Perfect weather for growing grapes, sunburn, and for putting rubber to asphalt. The smell of high octane race gas wafts through air that is already heavily laden with the sounds of vintage race engines revving and loudspeakers blaring, “Attention in the paddock!.... Last call for Formula 750!”

Super Dave Rosno, in the Carousel,
putting the bike through its paces.

The cockpit of the ”970” CR750. Its gassed up and ready to go.
Just twist the grip on the right, and hold on!

Dave Rosno, dragging some knee.

Mike Rondelli stages for suspension set-up.

Rosno makes sure he still has a rear axle!

The World Motorcycles Pit. “970”, World Racing’s CR750, stands in the foreground. At long last, its ready to race… or do we need to re-jet the carbs, or perhaps firm up the suspension? How does the clutch feel? The bike in the background is a nice example of a red, all stock, (die cast engine) 1970 CB750. The CB750 is the superbike that started it all back in 1969, and captured the hearts of many throughout the 70’s.

Vic World of World Motorcycles, specializes in restoring and offering for sale, the early sandcast version of the CB750. If you have always dreamed of owning one of these legendary machines, its still not too late!

The day was a success. It was the culmination of many years of hard work, and the efforts of many people. The work continued even to race day. Friends and “competitors” alike lent a hand that weekend, and made possible a weekend of racing. Third place finish, first time out!
